MIGHTY MURPHY BAGS 4 FROM 5 WITH YEPPOON CUP

Mighty Michael Murphy took the Yeppoon track by storm, winning four of the five races in a sparkling display. In what looked like a tricky card on paper, Murphy dominated taking out the Yeppoon Cup and both the Country Cup & Stampede qualifiers.

Murphy started the winning day in Race 1 on Poetic Pete for Adrian Coome over the five furlongs, before taking out the Country Stampede Qualifier on the class horse Raiden for John Manzelmann with Alyssa’s Miracle and Hayyler’s Tary filling the placings. Not many horses win carrying 65.6kg so the future looks bright in this preparation for Raiden and all connections.

Mighty Michael then won the Keppel Bay Sailing Club QTIS Maiden Plate over the 1100m with Alsaurusfirst for Adrian Coome, before taking out the main event of the day with a brilliant ride to win on Regal Reece.  Regal Reece won with plenty up his sleeve which suggests that there is plenty to like about where he heads in this preparation. The six-year-old Reset gelding trained by Chris Attard has now qualified for the final in Brisbane on 5 December.

Congratulations to ARES Racing Australia for your treble today!
